Are our lives so very insubstantial then, that in death, it's as if we never existed? After all the mourning and tears, the living move on and forget the dead who are left behind. You know how they say that to someone out there, you are the world? Well, Rose was that someone for me. And I will remember her. I often wonder this myself. That's exactly what seems to happen. After the mourning and tears, everyone moves on. The pain lessens. We forget. I also wonder if it's better this way. Love this paragraph. Cause it reminds me that there's always someone you are the world to.

ya. i wonder at it too. an old friend of the family died a few years ago. but it feels like (or maybe i psyched myself to think) he's gone on a long holiday or something. guess that's the sad part about life. Darn! Now I'm yammy. cry1.gif

Mezz, I wanted to tell you I read your story up until the point I read she had cancer and had to stop. My mother died of breast and lung cancer, so I just couldn't finish reading it. I hope you understand :squish.
