So, since Reed made his Facebook photo albums re: this particular trip private now, and we've got "guests" galore (over 100 all from out of the US and all in this thread), presumably due to the Facebook linking and the Paris Pics, I would appreciate it if nobody direct links to Facebook anymore. (eta... At first I thought it was all non-human spammers, but now, after checking IP addresses and whatnot, I think it's all real people finding us on a search, so I'm not sure if the Facebook links matter. But that's moot now anyway, since Paris is now unavailable. BooHoo.)

In addition, it looks like Mylene's fan boards got ahold of the most recent pictures too and in their post (titled "Tour Spoilers") on their fan board they said they got them from a Clay fan board (looks like that might be us based on all the visitors). Reed also removed all the Mylene tour stuff from his MySpace, so it's possible they were posting a little TMI to the public and were asked to reign it in as of the start of the tour.

In any case, it appears they are tightening security around those travelers now that the tour is beginning and so we'll be seeing a little less of them.

Please respect the obvious change in their level of sharing and security. Happy Touring, Mylene Fans!! Appréciez le tour!

Au revoir! waves.gif

eta... apparently, this article (below) is about security and secrecy of Mylene's tour... even the roadies sign confidentiality agreements. Mylene is the biggest artist in France... so I imagine security is extremely tight. And the dancers (incl. Reed) have moved into under-cover mode.

Anyone read French?

Actually, after three years of 'put the book on the table,' and 'open the window,' I can only get bits and pieces.

I know it says she's there to work...traveling in private aircraft, cars with tinted glass and all that. Going to someplace that's known for being private.
That the dance numbers and show info is kept secret. Tighter security than Fort Knox. Talks about the roadies signing confidentiality contracts, etc. Working long hours. It gives the show dates and says the first night is sold out but there are some tickets available for the second night.

I decided to do Babel Fish (which is always good for some humor as well) just to see how close I got. Not too bad.

Private aircraft. More fugacious qu' a shade, Mylène s' illico in a Mercedes ultra-tinted panes is engulfed, direction its refuge impregnable of the Dove d' However in Saint-Paul. The message is clear, Mylène n' is not there for idleness. Claquemurée in its room of the mythical hotel whose Montand and Signoret made their “home sweet home”, it n' in fate that to slip by on the scene of the Nikaïa Palate to Nice where it chose d' to install the general repetitions of its new round. Its timetable: job (14 hours to 1 hour of the mat' every day), dodo and parano. The secrecy of the scenography of its show is undoubtedly kept better than Fort Knox. Nothing must filter. Least the roadie having access to the Nikaïa room should thus have signed a contract d' absolute confidentiality whose clauses would be without example. On May 2 will thus have to be waited next, dates in its first two concerts in Nice, to discover the new scenic architecture of Farmer Tour. Two exceptional shows which should be played closed counters - it remains nothing any more but some places to be sold for the 2nd evening - and until the fans wait “like a new revelation”.

Here's one:

Here I am!
First of all thank you so much for the pictures and the links posted on this topic. I just hope that Reed is okay and does not have too much trouble for having posted information on his FB / MySpace. umbrellasmilef.gif

The link you provided (MFIFC) is the only english speaking fan board I know.
Unfortunately the main site is only in french => http://www.mylene.net/

Anyway I guess that Saturday night there will be many videos of the first show on YouTube.

Welcome, Cedric!

Thank you so much for the information. I look forward to seeing the show/videos on YouTube. I understand Mylene is quite popular, though I admit I didn't know much about her until we heard Reed was dancing in her tour.

Are you going to any shows?

Thank you!

I guess Mylene Farmer is known only in french speaking countries (France together with Switzerland / Belgium / Quebec in Canada) and quite strangely in Russia. She began her carrier back in the 80's. She's very famous for offering incredible shows. This 2009 Tour will begin on May 2nd in Nice and will finish on September 19th in Brussels. So far she's given concerts only in arenas (like the Madison Square Garden in NYC for example). This year for the first time she will also perform in stadiums (in Geneva, Paris and Brussels).

I will attend to the first Nice show and I will also see her in Rouen (north west of France) on May 30th and in Paris on September 12th.

If you want just a preview of what to expect, you can watch the intro of her last show in 2006

hyper.gif That was quite an exciting intro!!

I bet you can't wait!! How fun!

I hope you'll feel free to come here to let us know how you liked the show and if you noticed the dancers at all. Mylene is gorgeous, so it might be hard to notice anything else, eh? LOL!

Have a fantastic time at the show! I'm jealous, I think!

Thanks for the information Cedric, and welcome. smile.gif

That intro was fantastic, and I can see why she wants to keep all the choreography/effects quiet until the tour begins.

I found this on another site. Does this mean there will be a DVD available for this tour?

Here is another fan-
Actually, I just wanted to thank you for the pictures, the only few informations we have waiting for the concert...
Actually as Cedric said, that would be great if you could come to a concert which are usually amazing... I'm living in New York, and making the trip to France, to get the chance to see the concert in Toulouse on May 19th.
Again, thanks for the information and I will also send my feedback!
Cheers-

Yes for sure. All of her shows have been released on video (1989, 1996, 1999, 2006), they are available on amazon.com. The previous one (2006) is the biggest selling musical DVD on french market. The show selected to be recorded seems to be the Paris one (Stade de France, 80.000 people). Hopefully the DVD & BluRay will be available by next Xmas. And just like the previous DVDs we can expect some extras on rehearsals, dancers, etc.

Hello guys,

I'm Eric, I just wanted to say hi. I've been following up what Reed has been saying on his myspace, before I saw he withdraw all the stuff about mylene's tour :-( .

I'm like very much the French artist, and I'd love to share that with you. I've been to her show in Paris in Jan. 06, and it was just amazing, enthralling.

I'll be seeing her and the dancers in Lyon on 06/15 + Paris on 09/11.

Seems that they're all having a good time in Nice, though they might as well find themselves having to work hard hard hard...

Looking forward to your speaing with you.

Have a nice monday.

eric

Cedric, thanks for the DVD info. much appreciated.

Through Reed, I'm learning a lot about Mylene, which is very cool.

From Wikipedia, (yes, not the greatest source of info, I know) I understand she had a run in with a disturbed fan several years ago. Makes me understand a bit more her want/need for tight security.
(but then again, I believe that is probably the wish of every celebrity)

I hope you all have fantastic concert experiences...and thanks for sharing! smile.gif

Yes, I think some disturbed fan just walked in her "maison de disque" (sorry, I miss the translation) and shot the receptionist because he told the guy mylene didn't actually live here and she could not talk to him right now... That was just before she moved to the US I think... before coming back to France with a brand new show in 1996 !

Here's the link to my favorite song of her, on her last show in Paris in 2006. Hope you enjoy it !
